Nikita Makwana
Founder, The Unconventional Circle 

 

Nikita Makwana is a China Studies specialist, educational entrepreneur, and author of The Speaking Authority, leading strategic conversations on Africa–China relations, education leadership, and intercultural engagement. She is the Founder and Executive Director of International Language Hub (ILH), a language and cross-cultural education institution providing language and cultural training programs for globally minded students and professionals. She also leads The Unconventional Circle (TUC) Consultancy, a leadership and professional development firm delivering executive education, entrepreneurship training, and future-skills programs that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world competence. Currently a PhD Candidate in China Studies at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China, her research on Educational Diplomacy contributes to broader debates on soft power, public diplomacy, and governance. She holds a BA in China Studies from the University of Botswana and a Master’s degree in International Education of Mandarin from Beijing Language and Culture University. Her work sits at the intersection of research, strategy, and institution-building, translating global insight into practical systems and measurable impact across Africa.
